About The Position

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Cost Analyst supporting an Air Force acquisition mission at Hill AFB, UT. The candidate will assist, prepare, develop, and deliver compliant documents in support of a variety of financial management activities to include Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Executing (PPBE), program types (including but not limited to U.S. and FMS), tracking data, and reporting IAW all current and future fiscal and appropriation law and policy. This includes use of standardized and specialized software applications. This role is onsite at Hill AFB, but remote work may be considered.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors in relevant degree + 7 years of relevant experience (including 24 credit hours math and science, and 3 credit hours of calculus) OR Masters in relevant degree + 6 years of relevant experience (including 24 credit hours math and science, and 3 credit hours of calculus)
  • Assist, prepare, develop, and deliver compliant documents
  • Support financial management activities
  • Planning, Programming, and Budgeting, Executing (PPBE)
  • Knowledge of government program types (including but not limited to U.S. and FMS)
  • Tracking data, reporting IAW all current and future fiscal and appropriation law and policy Experience with the use of standardized and specialized software applications such as BQ, Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS), Integrated Budget Documentation and Execution System (IDECS), FM-Suite, Electronic Document Access (EDA), Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaRS), CRIS, and other DoD/OSD mandated systems.

  • Strong attention to quality, adequacy, and completeness of test results and conclusions
  • Ability to deliver thorough, timely, and efficient task execution
  • Ability to provide clear analysis and recommendations to program test leadership

Responsibilities

  • Routine application of cost estimating methods such as analogy, engineering or scientific methodology, and extrapolation
  • Utilization of cost estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon system
  • Identification of the appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (e.g. planning, programming, justification, execution) for initiating new programs
  • Analysis of all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scope
  • Analysis of weapon system contractor financial data using EVM measures of merit to determine program viability with respect to cost and schedule performance, and
  • Application of analytical processes such as: setting up the problem; conducting background research; collecting and reducing data; displaying data for analysis; formulating mathematical expressions; and drawing conclusions.
