About The Position

Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey. Assist Cost Accounting manager with ad hoc reporting, strategic analysis, supporting new product development projects/innovation, own monthly recovery/absorption process and execute a variety of cost accounting related duties. This permanent position will report to the Finance Director. Financially own and take responsibility for inventory cost valuations, including costing new products & quarterly standard cost updates and overhead costs. Contribute to key metrics reporting and analysis for operations- Recovery/Absorption, Manufacturing Usage Variance, Purchase Price Variance. Review financial reconciliations to support the month end and quarterly close processes. Forecast P&L performance and track thru weekly flash reports and quarterly forecasting and budgeting processes. Participate in annual external audit for cost accounting team. Work with R D and Project teams to quote standard costing for new products. Support the cost accounting manager in executing ad hoc reporting and analysis. Own monthly recovery/absorption process & book related month end close journal entries. Identify process improvement opportunities and cost savings. Other Duties as needed.

Requirements

  • BS, BA or equivalent from an accredited 4-year university or college.
  • Minimum 3 years of Cost Accounting or related experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player - Willing to work with various functional owners at the plants and at corporate.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • CMA a plus.
  • Analytics.
