Headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, Mission1st reported annual revenues in excess of $25 million, with a pipeline of growing programs and an increasing customer base. In this role, you will manage junior finance team members, the Unanet System and serve as Administrator, and the month end closing processes and ensure it is completed by the 15th of the following month. You'll analyze Rand reconcile General Ledger to Cost Report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university) in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of work experience
  • Five or more (5+) years’ experience in government contracting accounting and Unanet Financial
  • A commitment to your profession demonstrated by participation in providing support, guidance and memberships in professional association
  • Expert in using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)

  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly financial report for senior management and other reports for PMO as needed
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet and P&L accounts monthly
  • Enter adjusting and accrual journal entries monthly
  • Prepare incurred cost submission report including all schedules required by DCAA audit programs
  • Perform payroll in ADP
  • Take the lead in financial audits, DCAA audits and tax preparation with external CPA
  • Assist in 401k audits as needed
  • Oversee and Support/back-up invoicing as needed (FFP, T&M, CPFF)
  • Support with M&A activities and integration
  • Support CFO and participate in other projects as needed
