About The Position
The Senior Corporate Counsel serves as a primary legal advisor for the corporate healthcare system. This role involves high-level legal strategy, significant decision-making authority, and mentorship of the legal team.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school
- Application for a Washington license and license to practice in any state pending WA license
- Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in a health system corporate legal department or law firm with significant involvement in health care transactions, joint ventures, affiliations, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and governance matters – as well as additional experience in combination of regulatory, compliance, risk management, insurance, employment and contractual issues/matters
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on complex healthcare regulations, transactions and governance matters.
- Work collaboratively with the legal team and the organization's management and executive team.
- Manage attorneys, paralegals and other staff and/or serve as a subject matter expert in specific specialties.
