About The Position

Mach7 Technologies is seeking a seasoned attorney to establish, lead, and scale our in -house legal function. This is a high -impact, high -visibility role for a legal professional with at least 5 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic, growth -stage environment. You will serve as the company’s primary legal advisor, shaping legal strategy and building the foundation for scalable processes across commercial contracting, corporate governance, employment law, compliance, privacy, and risk management. This position offers a unique opportunity to create a modern legal function from the ground up, reduce reliance on outside counsel, and influence strategic decisions that drive organizational evolution.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active membership in at least one U.S. bar.
  • Minimum 5 years of broad legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in -house exposure.
  • Strong generalist capabilities across:
  • Commercial contracting
  • Corporate governance
  • Employment law
  • Compliance and risk management
  • Experience in a fast -paced, growth -stage or regulated industry (healthcare a plus).
  • Exceptional judgment, communication skills, and ability to translate legal complexity into actionable guidance.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and partnering with senior leadership.
  • Builder mindset—ready to create processes and systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on legal, compliance, and risk matters.
  • Design and implement Mach7’s legal framework, policies, and governance standards.
  • Develop a long -term legal roadmap aligned with business goals and operational scalability.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, restructures, severance strategies, and workforce transitions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, licensing, partnerships).
  • Create and maintain contract templates and playbooks to streamline processes.
  • Support corporate governance, board materials, entity management, and compliance documentation.
  • Advise on M&A, fundraising, and strategic transactions as needed.
  • Partner with Workforce Excellence on employment law matters, including terminations, severance agreements, leaves of absence, and cross -border workforce considerations.
  • Draft and maintain employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and policy documents.
  • Provide pragmatic legal guidance during organizational change and policy reform.
  • Develop and maintain policies for privacy, data protection, HIPAA compliance, and contractual security obligations.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and IT on audits and product -related regulatory inquiries.
  • Monitor global legal developments impacting healthcare technology and employment practices.
  • Identify and mitigate enterprise risk across commercial, employment, and regulatory domains.
  • Build internal legal infrastructure, including workflows, approval processes, and contract repositories.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships strategically, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
