Overview: The Senior Corporate Counsel for US Litigation & Investigations will be responsible for managing litigation and claims involving US-based Sanofi entities in a variety of practice areas, working independently, as well as with outside counsel and colleagues in the US Litigation & Investigations group. The position requires effective and efficient management of litigation, with an emphasis on favorable results while managing costs. The Senior Corporate Counsel’s primary function will be to manage Sanofi’s Talc/Asbestos docket of cases. This Senior Corporate Counsel will also need to provide business operational, promotional review and bankruptcy advice to the corporate entity that holds the Talc/Asbestos liabilities. The person filling this position ideally has knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, must be an effective communicator, and have the ability to work with colleagues in Legal and diverse functional and operational areas throughout the company (such as HR, Finance, Pharm Ops., Business Development, IA, IS, etc.). The person filling this position must have the ability to analyze complex situations, develop and communicate plans of action and carry them out. The person filling this position may also provide advice and counsel on business issues and the legal implications of those issues. Any bankruptcy experience would be an added benefit.
