About The Position

This is an outstanding opportunity to join Cisco's Regulatory Affairs group on the Cyber and National Security Legal Team. You will advise on developing and existing cybersecurity and national security regulations worldwide and counsel the business on regulatory compliance, including how to meet customer expectations on these topics. You will partner closely with your colleagues on the Regulatory Affairs team and across Cisco Legal, as well as Government Affairs, the Security and Trust Organization (S&TO), Engineering, Sales, and Corporate Affairs. Your primary responsibilities will be to act as the subject-matter expert and resource across a range of regulatory issues, including cyber and national security regulations around the world. You will counsel legal colleagues, product engineering, go-to-market teams, and other business teams on global cyber and national security regulations and develop Cisco policies and implementation plans to meet compliance obligations and customer expectations. You will also assist with responses to regulatory inquiries and investigations, develop and implement Cisco's strategy with respect to evolving laws and regulations and Cisco's commitments, and support Cisco's regional Government Affairs leads on their work related to emerging regulatory trends and frameworks that impact Cisco's business.

Requirements

  • Law degree (J.D. or non-U.S. equivalent), with excellent academic credentials. You are a licensed attorney in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where Cisco does business.
  • 10+ years of relevant legal, in-house, and/or law firm experience.
  • Substantive legal experience and knowledge in regulatory and/or corporate policy matters involving cybersecurity and national security.

Responsibilities
