Microchip seeks an experienced attorney to provide strategic counsel on AI, cybersecurity, and data governance matters, including related compliance programs and transactions. This role requires a multidisciplinary background and strong understanding of laws and frameworks relating to AI, IP, cybersecurity, technical data, personal data, and contracting. Attorney will partner with business units, support groups, and Legal team to guide responsible AI innovation, adoption, and deployment as well as the company’s other data-driven initiatives. Serve as subject matter expert on AI and data governance Support and enhance compliance programs covering: Cybersecurity Data classification and governance Export-controlled technical data and software U.S. controlled unclassified information (CUI) Develop and maintain practical resources such as guidelines, policies, procedures, assessments, and training. Monitor and advise on emerging AI and data-related laws, industry frameworks, and technical standards. Provide business-oriented counsel to internal stakeholders, including Business Units, Global Trade Compliance, HR, IT, Marketing, and Sales. Provide contract support, as needed, involving AI and data-related platforms and services, such as SaaS and other cloud-based agreements
