About The Position

C3 AI is seeking a highly qualified Senior Corporate Counsel, Commercial, to join our Legal team. This role will perform a broad range of legal work, with a focus on supporting the sales and alliances organizations on commercial engagements. You will help align deal structure, draft and review commercial and alliance agreements, advise members of management on various issues within assigned areas, and support the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial. This position is required to be onsite 5 days a week at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.

Requirements

  • JD from a top law school.
  • Active membership in at least one U.S. State bar.
  • 8+ years of related experience, including 3+ years at a premier law firm and 3+ years as commercial counsel at an enterprise SaaS company.
  • Deep substantive knowledge of enterprise software, SaaS, PaaS, other software licensing and distribution, strategic alliances, channel sales and distribution models, intellectual property, and open source.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, analyze, negotiate, and complete complex commercial transactions with the company’s enterprise customers and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with the sales, services, and product teams to achieve key business objectives.
  • Assist with improving and implementing the use of templates, 'playbooks,' and policies.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
