About The Position

Oracle Legal is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Benefits Counsel to provide legal guidance and strategic support regarding Oracle’s U.S. employee benefit plans and programs. This role will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, support the development and implementation of benefits policies, and partner with internal stakeholders to manage risk and drive operational excellence. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an attorney (in-house experience a plus) practicing primarily in the area of employee benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of US benefit and leave laws, including the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, MHPAEA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • Strong analytical, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent judgment with the ability to make decisions and give practical advice that incorporates legal analysis and demonstrates an understanding of overall business objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
