About The Position

The Senior Corporate Counsel reports to the Chief Legal Officer. This position will examine contracts involving design and construction projects, leases, insurance, etc. and reviews various corporate and governance agreements, documents. Provides legal advice to the organization, prepares reports, guidelines and participates in the management of legal actions. Works closely with other departments to foresee and protect company against legal risks. This position can be based near the following CRB locations: Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, Atlanta, GA, Cary, NC, Boston, MA.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor Degree, licensed to practice law in applicable state(s)
• Minimum of five years of legal experience, preferably in a engineering and construction law practice or corporate legal department for same.
• Experience with managing and resolving engineering and construction disputes and litigation

• Develop relationships and collaboratively partner with internal stakeholders to assess legal and business risks and support the implementation of suitable mitigation remedies
• Manage projects successfully to completion
• Examine contracts involving design and construction projects, leases, insurance, corporate governance etc.
• Reviews various agreements and documents
• Provide legal advice to the organization
• Prepare reports, guidelines and participates in the management of legal actions
• Work closely with other departments to foresee and protect company against legal risks
• Capable of managing multiple projects at a time and successfully to completion.
