As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will serve as a critical bridge between go-to-market strategy and product innovation, ensuring our global offerings are supported by robust, scalable, and forward-thinking contractual frameworks. The role is based in Menlo Park, California, with a hybrid in-office requirement.

Requirements

  • Education & License: JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and the ability to practice law in California.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of combined product and commercial legal experience is preferred, ideally with both law firm and in-house practice.
  • Technical Proficiency: Must be able to quickly master and support new technologies and paradigms, including using AI-powered tech to enhance workflow efficiency and deliver high-quality results.
  • Communication: Proven ability to translate complicated legal and technical concepts into simple, actionable terms for legal colleagues and business stakeholders.
  • Mindset: Strong collegiality, sense of humor, and an attitude of issue ownership—no project is too big or too small.
  • Agility: Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Product Terms & Negotiation: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and continuous updating of product-specific terms and conditions.
  • Commercial Support: Partner closely with the commercial legal team as a subject matter expert during complex customer negotiations, with a specific emphasis on AI offerings.
  • Partnership Support: Support the tech transactions and alliances legal team to ensure that third-party relationships and terms align with our product needs.
  • Process Optimization: Support the continuous improvement of legal forms, policies, and processes to build scalable solutions that streamline global legal support.
  • Advisory Support: Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand our offerings and advise on contractual, legal and regulatory requirements for existing and new offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive alignment across the legal department and broader organization on matters involving privacy, security, compliance, and intellectual property.
