We are seeking a seasoned accounting leader with 7–10 years of experience, ideally within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with AMS360 and a proven ability to manage the full accounting function of an insurance agency, including commissions, carrier reconciliations, and constant reserving. This role requires someone who is both strategic and willing to dive into the details — able to handle the books themselves while also providing financial leadership and long-term vision. You will oversee a small, capable team (one Accounting Manager and one part-time Accounting Assistant), while coordinating with outside AMS consultants and other vendors. Beyond day-to-day operations like payroll (ADP), month-to-month reporting, and QuickBooks management, you’ll provide the leadership and strategic insights needed to support growth across sister companies. This position is ideal for someone who is aspirational toward a CFO track , capable of managing relationships with banks, credit unions, and external stakeholders, and motivated to bring structure and scalability to an agency’s financial operations.
