About The Position

The Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities for the organization and its entities. This role requires strong leadership and technical accounting expertise to manage complex financial processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting and closing activities. The position involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams to streamline processes and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in an Accounting leadership role, with an emphasis on closing and reporting in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of providing mentorship and guidance to high-performing teams.
  • ERP and financial systems experience is required; experience with D365, Medius, Concur, Blackline, Adaptive is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the month-end and year-end closing and consolidation process, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to accounting standards.
  • Review and reconcile accounts, ensuring intercompany transactions are properly recorded and eliminated in consolidation.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to the Director of Corporate Accounting.
  • Continuously assess and improve financial reporting and closing processes to enhance controls and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Partner with Tax to ensure financial statement integrity related to tax compliance.
  • Manage non-routine financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and special projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely audits.
