Overview The Workplace Editorial Content (WEC) team is part of a new and growing Integrated Marketing Experiences organization, whose mission is to drive greater engagement and excitement through innovative storytelling and visualization that communicates our true differentiators through events, experiences, and channel marketing. WEC’s focus is on creating engaging, timely, and relevant content that provides value to our clients, is aligned with our go-to-market strategy, and supports Workplace business goals. The Senior Writer and strategist will support the Fidelity Workplace B2B and B2C content strategies by providing content development services across the Thought Leadership and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a talent for distilling complicated research and ideas into easy to digest, engaging formats and repurposing content for a variety of audiences and channels to support business goals and enhance the customer experience. This role sits at the intersection of audience insights, storytelling, and performance, partnering closely with marketing, channels, UX, and the web teams.

Requirements

  • 5 – 7 years digital copywriting experience
  • Understanding of how to write in a variety of tones relevant to different target customer segments and different media types
  • Ability to create clear, accessible, engaging content from complex research and ideas
  • Desire to “think outside the box” when deciding on content formats and approaches
  • Capable of conducting secondary research to support content
  • A self-starter, highly capable of working independently and efficiently; exceptional communication, presentation, project management, and organizational skills
  • Please provide a portfolio or samples of published content

Nice To Haves

  • B2B and B2C marketing experience a plus
  • Experience writing for the financial services industry strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of SEO, user experience, and web analytics basics preferred
  • Understanding of content management systems, marketing, and web technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit new long- and short-form content for a variety of audiences, formats (educational articles, explainers, FAQs, guides, listicles, infographics, videos, etc.), and channels (websites, social media, apps)
  • Support a customer-first marketing and content strategy through highly engaging, actionable, personalized digital content
  • Update, optimize, and repurpose existing content for new audiences
  • Partner with the SEO and Analytics teams to analyze content performance and support SEO-driven content development
  • Collaborate with Design, Website, and Channel marketing teams to develop visual and digital assets
  • Review content for web formatting, tone, brief alignment, etc.
  • Support content governance by adhering to established style guides to ensure editorial consistency and quality
