Zip is hiring a Copywriter & Content Strategist, a writer at heart who thrives on clarity and consistency. This role sits within the Creative team and bridges words with strategy, defining how Zip's products are communicated across every channel while building the narrative frameworks that help our internal AI tools and customer-facing systems speak in Zip's voice. You'll be both a hands-on copywriter and a strategic enabler of how Zip's voice reaches our diverse audiences. You'll structure knowledge so LLM systems can use it effectively, and create documentation that helps cross-functional teams scale that voice across the business. At the same time, you'll flex your copywriting craft across B2B and B2C touchpoints. This is a rare opportunity for someone who’s equal parts writer, strategist, and builder, shaping how millions experience Zip through words and AI.

  • Scale Zip’s voice: Write and refine the copy that powers Zip’s internal GPT tools and customer-facing AI experiences, ensuring every word reflects our brand voice and delivers clarity, confidence, and consistency.
  • Build content frameworks: Develop and maintain the product documentation and structured knowledge sources that fuel LLM systems, making product information accurate, accessible, and ready to scale across teams and tools.
  • Enable cross-functional teams: Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Compliance to ensure AI systems are fueled by the latest, most complete information.
  • Deliver core copywriting: Write copy that moves seamlessly between audiences, from merchants and retail partners to everyday consumers.
  • 5+ years’ experience in copywriting, UX/product writing, or content strategy, ideally with exposure to fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Experience with structured content, knowledge systems, and AI/LLM usability.
  • A deep understanding of voice, tone, and how to adapt language to different channels.
  • Familiarity with LLM tools and workflows—prompt design, testing, tuning, and governance.
  • Comfort collaborating across Product, Engineering, Legal/Compliance, and Marketing.
  • A strategic, systems-driven mindset paired with strong creative instincts.
  • Flexible working culture
  • Incentive programs
  • 20 days PTO every year
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Leading family support policies
  • 100% employer covered insurance
  • Beautiful Union Square office with a casual dress code
  • Learning and wellness subscription stipend
  • Company-sponsored 401k match
