About The Position

As the Senior Coordinator, Operations Support, you will manage the completion of payroll for hourly technicians in our McCalla, AL manufacturing location. You will serve as the point of contact for our order management system and flow to support a variety of administrative tasks across Operations Manager, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Accounting. This role requires you to reconcile timecard transactions for hourly payroll using a timekeeping software (i.e., Workday) and develop an expert level understanding of Workday timekeeping software and site payroll policies. You will provide training and technical support to the facility, understand and comply with payroll procedures, and identify opportunities for coaching and process improvements for the Operations Team. Additionally, you will assist with the investigation of payroll issues, correct timekeeping errors, monitor attendance records, and manage local vendor relationships for employee uniforms and cafeteria vending products. General administrative duties will also be part of your responsibilities, including greeting visitors, mail distribution, office supply inventory/ordering, and more.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working within enterprise-wide systems (ex: Oracle, Workday, Marketplace, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, customer service, communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience handling confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility to support off-shifts or weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience processing payroll and invoices, or general accounting
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile timecard transactions for hourly payroll using a timekeeping software (i.e., Workday)
  • Develop an expert level understanding of Workday timekeeping software and site payroll policies; provide training and technical support to the facility
  • Understand and comply with payroll procedures and identify opportunities for coaching and process improvements for the Operations Team
  • Assist with investigation of payroll issues, and correct timekeeping errors leading to inaccurate pay in a timely manner
  • Monitor and maintain attendance records for Operations Team
  • Serve as the Area Record Coordinator for onsite and offsite record storage
  • Track Operations Technician reviews and work with the Operations Departments to complete them
  • Manage local vendor relationships for employee uniforms and cafeteria vending products
  • Perform general administrative duties including greeting visitors, mail distribution, office supply inventory/ordering, FedEx shipments, insurance certificate tracking, and reconciling miscellaneous invoices
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding by managing assignment of lockers, and providing training in areas of expertise
  • Support the execution of plant events, meetings, and visits as well as community relations activities
  • Support site communication processes through plant emails, flyers, and updating video monitors and bulletin boards
  • Assist in managing the site employee store including staffing, ordering, pricing, inventory, and sales tax reporting
  • Assess plant processes in areas of responsibility, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes as needed
  • Provide support as needed for the Operations Director and Managers
