Under general supervision, the Sr. Coordinator, Identity-Based Engagement & Belonging Strategies performs highly complex professional student services work that integrates identity-informed student engagement with Center-wide leadership for a specialized functional area. This position holds dual responsibility: 1. Identity Focus – providing advanced, culturally responsive engagement, consultation, and advocacy for African American students and ensuring CCGC programs, services, and engagement practices effectively address their lived experiences, barriers, and sense of belonging; and 2. Center-Wide Functional Leadership – leading the design, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of identity-based student engagement and belonging strategies that guide how connection, inclusion, and community are intentionally cultivated across the Center. This role intentionally integrates direct student engagement (at 40%) with Center-wide systems leadership (at 60%). Through the design and delivery of identity-informed engagement and belonging programming and select direct student interaction alongside coordinator colleagues, the incumbent ensures programs are intentionally structured, tracked, and assessed for measurable impact on student learning outcomes, persistence, retention, and graduation. Furthermore, this position ensures that services, programs, and supports are available to all students, with initiatives informed by institutional data to address identified student needs.
