About The Position

SENIOR COOK: Responsible for the preparation and/or cooking of food within a specific Food Service Unit or the main kitchen located in our theme parks or CityWalk. NEW starting rate for Senior Cooks: $23.00/hour

Requirements

  • One to two years of high-volume experience as a Line Cook required.
  • Must have knowledge of cooking processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Completion of Chef’s apprentice or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stocks materials and supplies in hot/cold and dry areas.
  • Maintains all Cost of Goods control tools by performing quarterly updating of control cards, inventory packages, recipe books.
  • Performs daily spot checks of all portioning tools.
  • Provides daily documenting and recording of product spoilage.
  • Performs cooking duties and related production functions.
  • Ensures high food quality level that meets Universal Orlando standards.
  • Maintains a clean work area and immediate surrounding area.
  • Ensures compliance of the State of Florida’s HACCP program.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
