About The Position

You’ll be responsible for the preparation of all center meals within an established budget allowance in accordance with pre-planned menus in compliance with government and management directives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) year experience as a food handler.
  • Must possess a current ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification.
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Establish quantity of food prepared according to the menu and the number of students, coordinate the amount with cooks and culinary workers.
  • Assist in preparation of daily schedule, assign specific duties to staff and monitor and report work performance.
  • Responsible for storeroom inventory and for requisitioning merchandise from the property department.
  • Direct and assist in preparing food for special center functions, visitors and off-center assignments.
  • Perform cooking duties, as needed.
  • Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.
