While keeping delivering excellent products at the forefront Senior Controls Engineer ensure the integrity of Jered equipment by maintaining controls hardware and software for legacy products. Focusing on every detail reviewing modifications to calculations, selecting component selections, completing drawings, and validating design plans to make sure nothing is overlooked. There’s also opportunity to lean into creativity leading new design projects with brilliant creativity and design talents to craft entire state-of-the-art solution that are cutting edge, functional, and most importantly manufacturable. After thoroughly reviewing the electrical sub-system design they confidently add their stamp of approval to each design. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years experience designing electrical controls systems.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD electrical.
  • Proficient with Rockwell or Siemens Industrial automation software development.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design of marine system controls.
  • Working knowledge of military specifications for electronic components (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1399-300A, MIL-STD-901D, MIL-STD-167, MIL-STD-810).
  • Working knowledge with EMI design considerations and qualification testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical controls systems and frameworks for efficient machinery.
  • Support legacy systems while creating new solutions.
  • Maintain controls hardware and software for legacy products.
  • Review modifications to calculations and select components.
  • Complete drawings and validate design plans.
  • Lead new design projects with creativity and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Production Control, Purchasing, and Quality teams.
