About The Position

At Corbion, we exist to champion preservation in all its forms, preserving food and food production, health, and our planet.  Corbion is seeking a Senior Controller Manufacturing North America based in either Lenexa, KS or Totowa, NJ.   In this role, you will report to the Director Business Control Manufacturing (Netherlands) and play a pivotal role in driving operational and financial performance across the four Corbion Manufacturing Sites in North America and two blending sites in Mexico and Brazil. As a strategic business partner to the site directors, you will act as a catalyst for value creation, delivering actionable insights from financial and operational data, challenging assumptions, and enabling informed decision-making that drives sustainable growth, optimized cost, and improved cash flow. You will lead a team of manufacturing controllers, ensuring alignment between strategy and operational execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years progressive experience in finance roles within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
  • Proven track record as a Finance Business Partner to senior supply chain leaders.
  • Leadership experience in managing international teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA), BI and planning tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Fabric, Power BI).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen and proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Confident and assertive, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to simplify and communicate complex financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the site directors and site leadership teams.
  • Proactively challenge assumptions and drive informed decision making to improve profitability, cost structure and cash flow.
  • Challenge assumptions and enables informed decision-making to drive sustainable growth, cost optimization, and improved cash flow.
  • Translate operational strategies into financial plans, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Provide site P&L leadership: conversion cost per unit, OEE, yield/scrap, labor productivity, maintenance effectiveness and other cost optimization initiatives.
  • Critically evaluate footprint changes, capacity expansions, insourcing/outsourcing, develop capex business cases and post‑investment reviews.
  • Drive optimal inventory levels and own North America inventory valuation and provision.
  • Lead and develop the team of manufacturing controllers of the respective manufacturing sites.
  • Build a high-performance finance team with a strong business-partnering mindset
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Align team efforts with organizational objectives and support professional growth.
  • Drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning
  • Deliver timely, relevant and actionable insights through advanced analytics and business intelligence tools (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Fabric, Power BI), translating complex financial data into clear, impactful recommendations.
  • Proactively identify, validate and track opportunities for cost optimization, productivity, working capital improvement, and strategic investment. Ensuring benefits land in P&L and cash.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Support the Director Business Control Manufacturing on projects and/or ad-hoc assignments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to align financial goals with strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to global finance transformation, standardization, and best-practice sharing.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, concise financial narratives.
  • Collaborate with Financial Accounting teams to ensure timely accurate and complete financial records
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal/external audits and uphold high standards of financial integrity and transparency.
