The Senior Control Systems Engineer is a member of the Waukesha Controls team responsible for engine controls development and validation activities. Essential Responsibilities Develop engine control algorithms for technical demonstration and production release. Use system dynamic analyses using first-principles to support recommendations. Use simulation techniques for control system rapid prototyping and product development. Support control software verification & validation activities . Lead new technology developments such as advanced control algorithms, implementation of new hardware technologies, advanced monitoring and diagnostic functions. Support control architecture studies for evaluation, proof of concept, and potential production implementation. Leverage simulation techniques to evaluate Waukesha product in new applications. Make recommendations to leadership for product changes to meet application expectations. Presentation of technical data to internal and external customers. Provide technical leadership to programs and lead development activities related to controls products using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. Develop and maintain design specifications, test plans and other documentation for controls products. Provide testing, analysis, technical support and direction on resolving manufacturing, procurement, quality, service, and reliability problems as necessary.
