Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of professional experience, including experience with FAR and DFARs, and 5+ years of Government contract management experience; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of professional experience, including experience with FAR and DFARs, and 5+ years of Government contract management experience.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong document drafting skills.
  • Understanding of aerospace business and legal issues, and the FAR/DFARS.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working classified programs preferred.
  • Active security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
  • Contracting knowledge sufficient to provide advice and counsel to the program teams and others as required.
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers and customers both internal and external.

Responsibilities

  • Support the drafting, negotiation, interpretation and management of proposal and contract documents for the Military Engines organization.
  • Develop significant customer interaction skills and improve negotiation abilities.
  • Act as the primary focal for external and internal customers regarding contract issues and interpretation of contract requirements.
  • Exercise discretion and work independently while providing contract leadership and expertise.
  • Provide terms and conditions review and advice on contracting rights and obligations to mitigate contractual and programmatic risks.
  • Interact significantly with various managers within the Military Engines organization and the USG.
  • Manage contracts from cradle to grave (start to contract closeout).
