About The Position

SWCA Environmental Consultants' Risk Management team is actively seeking to fill a Senior Contracts Analyst position. This position is responsible for reviewing, processing, and maintaining contracts related to professional services and other legal documents while ensuring strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The role combines elements of contract analysis, risk management, and compliance monitoring, supporting the full contract lifecycle in collaboration with legal, risk, technology and operational teams. The role is a permanent, full-time, salaried position that offers a hybrid work environment reporting to our Phoenix, AZ office location. Highly qualified remote-based candidates will also be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in contract compliance, legal support, or contract administration—ideally in a professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with contract terminology, legal document structures, and risk/compliance principles.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel); experience with ticketing systems or contract management software is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Experience supporting legal or risk teams.
  • Basic understanding of compliance and risk management in the context of professional services.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex contract terms clearly to non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review client professional services contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, leases, and amendments using AI-driven contract review software and in consultation with legal counsel.
  • Evaluate contracts for compliance with company policies, accounting standards, information security protocols, and relevant regulations.
  • Track contract status, deliverables, renewal timelines, and expirations using contract management tools.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized digital and physical contract records.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., project management, risk, legal, technology and finance teams) to ensure understanding and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Provide guidance on contractual obligations and assist in resolving contract-related issues.
  • Support internal risk audits by interviewing various members of leadership and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Generate reports and dashboards summarizing contract status, performance metrics, and compliance trends.
  • Recommend improvements to contract review workflows and compliance processes.
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of contract management systems.
  • Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing efforts regarding contract compliance and risk awareness.
