Moog Medical Devices Group specializes in designing, manufacturing, and distributing industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through substantial investment in research and development and leveraging our extensive expertise, we meticulously design and develop advanced systems that enhance medication safety, optimize performance, and effectively reduce medical expenses. We are seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah . In this on-site role, you will report to the Operational Excellence Manager. Your mission is to drive operational excellence across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques that meet customer demand and quality expectations. You will focus on guiding all employees to create sustainable improvements that reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (B.S.) in a relevant discipline from a four-year accredited university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events and implementing 5S.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Knowledge of change management and project management tools.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving expertise.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and production layout.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Minitab (or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in FDA-regulated environments highly desirable.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and train employees on developing a lean mindset using the Shingo Model.
  • Facilitate cross-functional improvement projects from concept through implementation.
  • Conduct process mapping, time studies, and value stream analysis to identify inefficiencies.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives including Trainings, Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and 5S implementation.
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement leader standard work.
  • Guide teams in root cause analysis and corrective action projects.
  • Develop KPIs and visual management tools to track and measure performance.
  • Support cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure improvements comply with FDA regulations and quality standards.
  • Document processes, improvement plans, and results for continuous learning.
