As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead and facilitate the successful implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) strategies with a sustaining impact on business performance. You will be directly responsible for the operational support and implementation of transformational process improvements across the enterprise, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth/Innovation.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: BA/BS in an engineering-type discipline or a technical degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years of experience improving end-to-end order-to-remittance processes within a business or production environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Mixed Model Lean, PFEP, GDP, and KPIs.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to identify opportunities for automation and variation reduction.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to motivate others, build trust, and maintain a long-term project plan while addressing tactical short-term issues.
  • Drive for Success: Strong sense of ownership and a results-based approach to productivity.
  • Effective Under Pressure: Comfortable utilizing reliable problem-solving methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative Partner: Ability to leverage influencing and mentoring skills in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of integrity and attention to detail in all deployment areas.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Establish and execute a CI Roadmap aligned with strategic goals and IDEX Office of Business Systems.
  • Training & Development: Train and certify internal CI experts to ensure program scalability and the sustainment of Lean principles.
  • Hands-on Implementation: Act as a lead practitioner for Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work.
  • Operational Excellence: Utilize 80/20 methods, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools to drive focus on high-impact organizational items.
  • Problem Solving: Implement robust root cause and corrective action (RCCM) principles to maintain operational continuity.
  • Financial & Resource Impact: Identify large cost centers to systematically drive productivity and protect profit margins.
  • Executive Communication: Provide clear direction and regular updates to Senior Leadership regarding event outcomes and accountability.
