About The Position

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to develop their Continuous Improvement capabilities through the development and implementation of innovative solutions to eliminate waste and improve flow across various Chromalloy sites. To monitor progress and support as necessary to drive project implementation and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Minimum four years’ experience in Operations Management or equivalent.
  • Mechanical Engineering/Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of and/or experience with any CAD platform (Siemens NX, Solidworks, etc.) and ability to read CAD drawings or assemblies.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of and experience with 3D printers, preferably related to (inputs, outputs, custom M-codes, ladder logic, etc.)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to develop training presentations, standard work documents, newsletter articles. Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point. Additional computer skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Site leadership, Site CI Lead, Regional CI lead, local CI coordinator(s) and others where applicable to understand critical areas of opportunity.
  • Supports reduction in TAT/DTM and other key metrics through innovative solutions.
  • Supports and positively drives 5S and EHS improvements.
  • Must be able to influence and interact effectively with diverse groups and personalities.
  • Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong written and presentation skills.
  • Consults with suppliers and customers as needed to achieve goals.
  • Inspires a culture of change and improvement.
