About The Position

The Senior Continuous Improvement Advisor at Cleveland Clinic Health System plays a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) programs within the organization. This position is essential for enhancing the patient experience and operational efficiency across various functions of the health system. The advisor will collaborate with multiple teams, balancing diverse expectations while promoting the use of CI tools and methodologies. A key aspect of this role involves training and developing CI team members, ensuring that best practices are shared and implemented across all CI teams. The advisor will apply the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model (CCIM) to build and advance the capabilities of caregivers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. In this role, the Senior Continuous Improvement Advisor will lead multiple project teams, influencing large initiatives that leverage advanced continuous improvement and project management tools. They will teach, coach, and mentor CI caregivers and leadership, extending their influence down to frontline caregivers. The advisor will be responsible for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing processes, developing sustainable and quantifiable process improvements in large areas. They will provide direction and oversight to less experienced CI specialists, ensuring that the CI team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. The advisor will also research best practices both within and outside the organization, applying these learnings to the development of CI tools and standards. They will manage a portfolio of work that encompasses various efforts from themselves and other CI team members, clearly tracking and articulating the impact of their initiatives. Regularly advising on the collection and analysis of process data, the advisor will recommend practices that enhance safety, productivity, and cost efficiency. Additionally, they will coach others to improve communication skills and situational awareness, ensuring that the CI team is well-prepared to meet the needs of stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying organizational needs and executing plans to address them, all while navigating the complexities of the healthcare environment.
