About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Senior Continuous Evaluation (CE)/Vetting (CV) Security Specialist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and Office of Security (SIS) in Springfield, VA.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance and must be willing to undergo a polygraph exam
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Minimum 11-14 years of personnel security background investigation experience
  • Comprehensive interview skills to detect anomalies, issue resolution follow-up, and obtaining coverage for developed information
  • Demonstrate experience with clear and concise writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to ensure required timelines and Federal Investigative Standards (FIS) and Expandable Focused Investigation (EFI) requirements are met

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the contractor support to CV Investigations and Case Control Teams
  • Ensure the contractor support individuals/team provide timely security support to Personnel Security's internal and external tasking's, projects, and programs
  • Document and manage collection of contractor team members Weekly Activity Report (WAR) actions in the SISP designated template and timeline to the Government Team Lead and/or Branch Chief
  • Responsible for training Investigative contractor staff with desired skillset and CE/CV operating procedures for their respective duties, as needed
  • Provide back-up support when a contractor vacancy exists
  • Keep Government POCs (Branch Chief/Team Lead) abreast of staffing changes, personnel transition plans, personnel onboarding status, and training plans in a timely manner
  • Monitor and manage supported security programs and operations by providing status reports and recommendations to Government POCs
  • Provide agency level technical expertise concerning the personnel security disciplines and standard operating procedures
  • Monitor security compliance with PERSEC guidelines/procedures/policy through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics and records
  • Research, prepare and maintain security procedures/guidance for CE/CV as needed
  • Provide security guidance and analyze complex data for contractors using DoD and IC regulations and requirements and make appropriate program recommendations
  • Design and develop report capabilities, generate reports containing security metrics and other statistical information; and further prepare and present briefings on security database operations, and metrics, as required
  • Bring security issues to the attention of the government in a timely manner
