About The Position

The University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for two Senior Consultants. These positions report to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Leadership Support and Programming and are responsible for supporting and advising unit leads at CU Boulder regarding how to plan, execute, and assess efforts designed to improve campus environments. The Senior Consultant will provide expertise and consulting services in the areas of research, assessment, student success, talent acquisition, professional development and learning, leadership development, and/or organizational change. They will assist colleagues in operationalizing strategic goals and evaluating policy and programmatic impact in support of the campus' priorities to create environments where everyone matters and can thrive. Incumbents will apply the work done by the University of Southern California's Pullias Center to advance Shared Equity Leadership (SEL) alongside a range of competency models and frameworks (e.g., NASPA/ACPA Professional Competencies, Leadership Reconsidered, Multicultural Organizational Development) to develop transformational higher education leaders who are capable of creating positive and supportive environments for a range of constituents and their needs. This work will address the personal, collective and structural work needed to activate and sustain institutional change and transformation. The Office of Leadership Support and Programming team values align with the shared equity leadership model. Examples of these values include transparency, vulnerability, accountability, mutuality, humility, love and care, courage, and creativity and innovation. We expect the incumbent(s) to demonstrate many of these values for shared equity leadership in their work (e.g., consulting with unit leads, research and assessment, leadership development, project management) and in interactions with fellow team members, constituents in the CU Boulder campus community, and members of local, regional, and national communities.
