About The Position

T. White Parker is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and experienced Senior Consultant to 1) be a project manager resource to lead project delivery for a management consulting engagement and 2) provide dynamic, customer outcome-focused management consulting services focused on strengthening and modernizing acquisition management processes. You will serve as the executive interface, establishing governance, ensuring disciplined project definition and management practices, and orchestrating an integrated approach across operational delivery, business transformation, process/performance improvement, and data and tool modernization. You will drive operational excellence by improving acquisition workflows and resource management, developing and executing robust cost estimating methodologies and evaluation practices, and strengthening governance through standardizing templates, processes, and documentation. The ideal candidate is a proven project manager comfortable with being the main point of contact for both the client and corporate executives and also adept at business process improvement/transformation, quickly understanding a client’s environment, goals, and objectives and developing and executing an approach to achieve the transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in business, or related field.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting
  • 4+ years of experience being the primary client contact for engagements and managing the financial, risks, issues, resources, and deliverables of engagements
  • Experience in business process improvement, transformation, and/or modernization efforts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/SharePoint; ability to learn agency‑specific program management tools.
  • Excellent written/oral English.
  • Experience in federal environments.

  • Additional certification related to process improvement (e.g. six sigma)

Responsibilities

  • Own governance and quality management; chair internal reviews and monthly customer progress meetings; ensure ≥95% on‑time delivery of all contracted outputs.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the client, providing effective communication, coordination, and overall of all task order activities to include: day-to-day acquisitions support, business process improvement, acquisition training/knowledge sharing, contract management support, data and database support, cost estimating and analysis, and SharePoint support.
  • Provide administrative support to the customer, providing program briefings, leadership updates, stakeholder engagements, and internal communications. This includes developing presentation materials, ensuring standards compliance, and maintaining version control and documentation.
  • Compile error-free status reports and management reports and hold periodic progress meetings with the client.
  • Recommend and execute process improvements, efficiencies, and transformation efforts to strengthen the acquisition life cycle and acquisition data environment.
  • Support contract data, databases, and reporting tools to include maintaining data, testing databases, and developing reports using tools, Microsoft 365 applications (e.g,, Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint), and SQL-bases systems.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and drive improvements to the client’s cost estimating structure to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
