About The Position

West Monroe is currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Operations Excellence Practice within our Productivity discipline. Productivity consultants partner with clients to drive operational excellence by enhancing efficiency, optimizing processes, and leveraging technology to unlock productivity. They focus on transforming operations through process improvement, performance management, and innovative solutions that align people, processes, and technology to achieve measurable results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, management science, business management, operations research, supply chain management, or similar fields.
  • 4-6 years of experience analyzing operational business processes, identifying potential improvement opportunities, quantifying their value, and successfully implementing the improvements to achieve results.
  • Experience leading teams of 2-5 resources with a desire to continue broadening and deepening technical, business, and consulting skills.
  • Ability to develop quantified value models (cycle time, cost, capacity) to support AI-enabled transformation recommendations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
  • Ability to travel (50+%)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in implementing areas such as process improvement, lean, workflow analysis, engineered standards development, and other productivity related initiatives
  • Experience designing or refining GenAI prompts that improve efficiency, consistency, or accuracy within business processes
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred
  • Preferred experience in developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to assist in selling work to clients

Responsibilities

  • Lead current-state analyses to identify and prioritize AI-enabled use cases using structured criteria such as cognitive load, variability, and data readiness
  • Design future-state workflows that integrate AI augmentation points and develop standardized prompts to improve process speed and quality
  • Help clients optimize operations through process improvement
  • Gather business requirements and document business processes
  • Build Excel-based models to assess and forecast business objectives
  • Mentor and develop staff on the job and through formal feedback
  • Help creating work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for business development opportunities
  • Actively build a professional network and affiliate network in the local community
