About The Position

Our growing Consultancy team is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Senior Consultant capable of owning responsibility for custom research projects from start to finish. You will have the opportunity to work with our global clients, providing your expertise to help them advance key business objectives through executing and analyzing proprietary quantitative and qualitative studies on their behalf. Our teams create and present actionable, data-driven insights to clients to help advance their business. A successful candidate is a self-starter who embraces new challenges with professional experience in a market research role. This is a Hybrid position based in Chicago.

Requirements

  • At least five years professional experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Strong data analysis and Excel skills.
  • Experience managing primary, custom marketing research projects.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to pull various types of data sets into a story and weave compelling narratives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tools such as Q, SPSS, SAS or other cross-tabulation and statistics tools.
  • Demonstrated talent for analytical thinking with an instinct for commercial opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting quantitative and qualitative custom research projects: Leading research projects across multiple industries from kick-off to completion, including: questionnaire design, survey programming, fielding, data analysis, and final reporting.
  • Analyzing complex data to provide insightful implications and actionable recommendations within the context of the client's business objectives and competitive environment.
  • Interfacing with Clients: Delivering in-person and phone presentations, answering questions, addressing concerns, and explaining methodologies.
  • Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Interacting and coordinating projects with Mintel sales and field operations colleagues, as well as external sample providers to execute projects.
  • Supporting the Team's Commercial Activities: Assisting with scoping new opportunities and proposal writing.
  • Project Management: Working on projects for well-known companies, helping them to understand what makes their customers tick.
