About The Position

The Senior Consultant (NQDC, COLI and ICOLI) role at Newport involves managing nonqualified and Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI) case work, serving as a liaison between internal teams and external partners, and ensuring the successful acquisition of new clients. This position requires strong relationship management skills and the ability to evaluate and consult on nonqualified plan designs, while also participating in special projects to enhance service offerings.

Requirements

• FINRA Series 6/7 and 63 licenses
• Minimum 10+ years of retirement services and COLI industry experience
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and partners
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts using spreadsheet and accounting software.

Nice To Haves

• CFA and/or CAIA certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage nonqualified and COLI case work and workflow of assigned cases.
• Serve as the nonqualified liaison between internal technical staff, nonqualified Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), and intermediary distribution partners.
• Coordinate and compile plan diagnostic evaluations for prospective nonqualified clients.
• Foster strong relationships and maintain strategic oversight for clients and intermediary partners.
• Participate in special projects that enhance productivity and efficiency of nonqualified services.
• Evaluate and consult on nonqualified plan design, including COLI and ICOLI.
• Conduct presentations on nonqualified products and strategies.
• Train nonqualified clients and internal staff on product design and market trends.
• Coordinate completion of necessary compliance documentation related to placements of securities.
• Ensure reliable and punctual attendance and protect confidential data.
