POSITION OVERVIEW This role supports the delivery of Network Performance - Urban Science services for Urban Science clients as part of a collaborative account team. The position blends strong technical expertise with client‑facing skills to deliver high‑quality analyses, projects, and solutions with accuracy and efficiency. Regular, in‑person collaboration with the local team is essential to success in this role. The position utilizes proprietary software, advanced Excel, SQL, and C#, with supplemental use of Python, VBA, SSIS, and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint). Occasional client presentations may be required; strong slide‑deck development skills are preferred. This role offers hybrid workplace flexibility and is based out of the Long Beach, CA office. Candidates must be available and willing to work on‑site up to three days per week, primarily in Long Beach and occasionally in Fountain Valley, CA, based on business and client needs. Pursuant to California law, the reasonably expected salary range for this position is: $88,000 - $110,670 + discretionary bonus potential. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered at the time of hire. Technical/Software: Must have demonstrated programming proficiency at the minimum requirement for the role (programming proficiency varies by role and may not be required in certain roles. For those roles where programming proficiency is needed, typical programming languages used may include .NET, VBA, C#, SQL, Java, HTML, SSIS and Open Source)
Time Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple concurrent tasks is required
Sales & Business Development: Ability to identify potential new opportunities from the client and proactively communicate those opportunities to management is required
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university (or equivalent foreign institution).
Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience required; 6 years preferred, ideally in a data‑driven, analytical, consulting, or client‑service environment.
Certification of Apprentice in one practice area (or external equivalent) required.
One of the following required: Certification of Consultant in one practice area, or Certification of Apprentice in two practice areas (or external equivalent).
Urban Science Ambassador designation.
Completion of Statistics I & Basic Statistics Assessment (or external equivalent).
Completion of Introduction to Operations Research (or external equivalent).

Nice To Haves

Technical or quantitative degrees are strongly preferred, including engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, applied science, information systems, operations research, or related fields.
Candidates with non‑technical degrees will be considered if they demonstrate the analytical, technical, and programming capabilities required for the role.
strong slide‑deck development skills are preferred.
Power BI knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, develops and delivers client-requested reports, deliverables and projects on time, adhering to client requested specifications.
Designs, creates and manages client databases, utilizing Urban Science proprietary software, ensuring accurate and high-quality data.
Assists management in creating estimates and proposals for clients to better understand the proposal process.
Serves as a contact for, and develops relationships with, the client to effectively respond to client requests and inquiries in a timely manner and help improve client satisfaction.
Acquires and maintains a thorough understanding of client data for assigned projects to properly create client deliverables.
Tracks, processes, analyzes and verifies data to improve accuracy and quality.
Assume responsibility for accurate and high-quality data being utilized on assigned projects.
Accurately performs application coding and testing functions associated with the development of custom client software.
Use technical skills to accurately update and maintain Urban Science internal software systems.
Adheres to quality control standards for Urban Science and client organizations.
Coordinates with individuals or teams to complete analyses, tasks and projects on time and with high quality.
Attends project meetings and participates in presenting project status updates to client representatives or internal management to clearly communicate project status conclusions and results.
Proactively communicates with management to provide updates and report issues in a timely manner.
Actively works with manager to understand and implement solutions to improve NPS (client satisfaction).
Partners with internal teams to ensure that software is properly installed, set up and functioning at established quality levels.
Actively supports and participates in required Urban Science training programs to achieve targeted development objectives.
