About The Position

The Senior Consultant MIS position at NYC Health + Hospitals involves working in the Department of Clinical Informatics and Analytics, reporting to the Chief Medical Information Officer for Harlem Hospital. The primary responsibility of the Analytics Developer is to develop advanced clinical analytics deliverables using SQL (Snowflake) and Tableau. This role is crucial for the Harlem Analytics core, which focuses on planning, building, and delivering necessary data, reports, and visualizations for the Harlem community.

Requirements

• Proficiency and experience in SQL
• Ability to gather and define requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs
• Proficiency in data analysis and data validation techniques
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
• Experience in presenting data-driven solutions and insights to various stakeholders
• Experience in healthcare analytics and Epic preferred

Nice To Haves

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Health Informatics or similar
• Masters degree or at least 5 years prior experience in analytics or data sciences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop dashboards utilizing Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools
• Extract and query data from Snowflake SQL
• Validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency in data sets
• Perform analysis on data sets to identify trends, insights and areas for performance improvement
• Propose and present actionable data solutions to enhance decision-making and performance
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions
• Work with Epic data for reporting and data extraction
• Support the development of advanced data models, forecasting models, and research analytics
