About The Position

HRP Associates, Inc., a multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a senior consultant with 5-10 years of experience to join our Plymouth, MA office. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated environmental professional with a strong background in remedial design and remedial oversight, as well as hands-on field investigation and construction support. Experience in manufactured gas plant investigation and remediation is required. You will work on a wide range of engaging environmental projects, including soil, groundwater, and air sampling; stormwater compliance inspections; and construction management activities. Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in environmental fieldwork, including remedial design and remedial oversight with significant experience in investigating and remediating manufactured gas plants
  • P.E., LSP or PG license preferred
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write clearly and professionally in English
  • Proficiency with Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain on active construction sites (mud, gravel, ruts, varying elevations)
  • Ability to wear standard PPE (hard hat, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles)
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • P.E., LSP or PG license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing groundwater, surface water, soil, and other environmental media sampling
  • Providing construction oversight and preparing detailed daily field reports
  • Conducting soil stockpile sampling, tracking, and documentation
  • Supporting and performing hazardous building material surveys (asbestos, lead paint, etc.)
  • Conducting site inspections at active construction sites and client facilities
  • Reading and interpreting Erosion & Sediment Control and Site Grading plans
  • Maintaining and monitoring environmental remediation systems
  • Applying remedial design concepts and providing oversight during remedial system installation and operation
  • Troubleshooting field challenges and developing practical solutions for clients
  • Following standard operating procedures with strong attention to detail
