About The Position

Apex Systems is seeking a very strong, highly experienced consulting professional to join the US & Canada practice within Apex' Solutions Delivery Organization. This individual must have demonstrated skills and ability to sell and deliver consulting services to enterprise level clients. As the CICD Application Engineer you will drive how CI & CD is used to deliver applications to production in an agile fashion. The team is tasked with the creation of an enterprise grade Continuous Delivery pipeline using multiple industry standard CICD tools that can deliver to legacy and cloud platforms iteratively without compromising on quality or security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: developing and releasing infrastructure as a code with DevOps methodology for automation; working with Docker and Kubernetes to create highly available and scalable CI/CD solutions; utilizing and upgrading tools, including Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, and SonarQube; and providing technical direction in design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD platform components.
  • Skill Language: Java , Groovy , React, docker, Node, knowledge in Open shift and Kubernetes
  • Client facing communication-able to run working sessions, explain tradeoffs, and capture risks
  • Proven experience owning executive level, high value consulting services sales.
  • Exceptional skills in consulting, written and verbal communication, negotiation, interpersonal communication, persuasion, problem solving, analysis, management, leadership, and engagement delivery.
  • Positive relationship builder able to navigate through complex situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solution.
  • Strong analytical skills and the aptitude to quickly identify gaps and risks.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to engineering and business partners.
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive presence.
  • Must be willing to be a team player and coach.
  • Ability to quickly decipher current state and envisioning future state processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong client relationships as trusted advisor. Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value.   • Serve as a subject matter expert internally and externally. Build trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork.
  • Build strong client, industry, and internal relationships and represent Apex Systems as a leader within Industry and Professional events and communities. Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
  • Collaborate internally with Apex Account Teams, Solution Leaders, Industry Leaders, Practice Leaders, and others to develop Apex Solutions Delivery Services business.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.
  • This role requires working with engineering and software delivery teams, and subject matter experts to understand pipeline requirements and communicate newly curated patterns
  • Participate in architecture discussion
  • Collaborate with internal agile teams and product owners to help ensure end-to-end quality
  • Enable DevOps by moving code from Dev/ Test to Staging, canary, performance, and Production
  • On-board, train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards
  • Build code delivery pipelines that bake in quality and security and automate everything that can be done around software delivery
  • Add robust monitoring, Alerting, and logging, and automating triage activities as much as possible
  • Help project teams build applications that are reliable and meet performance metrics
  • Bring a software engineering mindset to infrastructure creation and management, while applying the best operational views to ensure security, scalability, and compliance
  • Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
  • Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline and suggest necessary improvements by doing automation or by creating self-service documents
