About The Position

Senior Consultant (Applications Consultant) (full-time; multiple openings) needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to design, develop, enhance, customize, and integrate software applications. Coordinate efforts of lower-level team members while guiding them in the process. Gather and analyze client requirements and design and develop computer systems. Analyze existing applications to identify required performance and response time improvements. Identify operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications. Develop systems requirements and implement systems strategy. Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes. Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches. Install necessary software and customize software to clients' unique requirements. Responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package-based solutions. Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. Resolve issues to ensure delivery of project. Coordinate with application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering (any), Math, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience.
  • Must have one (1) year of IT work experience with any one of the following skill sets: Java, Azure, and AWS; Jira, Oracle, and HP ALM; Java, JavaScript, and Python; SDLC, Splunk, and Bamboo; Git, Jenkins, and SQL; HTML, CSS, and Java; TOAD, Informatica, and SVN; Maven, GIT, and SQL; Oracle, Unix, and SQL Developer; Finacle CRM, Finacle Integrator, and Unix Shell Scripting; Linux, Jenkins, and Git; GitHub, Python, and Tableau; Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle; Eclipse, JIRA, and SQL; OR Unix, PL/SQL, and Linux.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of IT experience.
  • All experience may be acquired concurrently.
  • Travel and relocation required as needed based on Capgemini business needs.
  • Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.
