Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent project-related experience.
  • Twelve plus years of progressive Project Management experience including direct supervisory experience in heavy civil, soil improvement, and capital projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.

Nice To Haves

  • TWIC card holder preferred.
  • In-Situ Stabilization project experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training preferred.
  • Competent Person Safety Training preferred.
  • 8-Hour Supervisory Training preferred.
  • 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project.
  • Assist with estimating and proposals of assigned bid opportunities with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, production rates, subcontractors and overall project approach.
  • Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
  • Develop basic project schedules and manage all project cost administration processes.
  • Complete/review project budget, weekly receiving reports, cost reports and provide monthly cost and revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate production reporting and interface with client representatives.
  • Administer all subcontractors and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, and material control.
  • Understand general contract administration and all project contract requirements.
  • Recognize changes in project scope and conditions, develop claims, and lead claim and change negotiations.
  • Supervise employees and subcontractors as required by the contract.
  • Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, and recommend construction methods and equipment.
  • Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Assume responsibility for productivity of employees, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the projects.
  • Manage overall profit and loss for assigned projects.
  • Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
