About The Position

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager responsible for overseeing innovative tenant improvement and interior fit-out construction projects for a high-profile technology client.

Requirements

  • Prior GC experience required.
  • Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage.
  • Great time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Experience working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Identify business development opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Effectively share and retain key information and data.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • PMP certification.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations.
  • Experience managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
  • Experience managing commercial real estate or relatable construction projects.
  • Tenant Improvement and Fitout experience with Commercial Real Estate projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work full-time onsite (5 days per week) at the client's state of the art facility in Cupertino, CA.
  • Interface with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Ensure prompt client invoicing and utilize Financial system to monitor a project’s financial status.
  • Produce the detailed project plan.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques.
  • Manage the change control process.
  • Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Prepare formal project budget progress and other reports.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products.
  • Ensure that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout the project.
  • Discharge general line management responsibilities effectively.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
