  • Supervises the development of all assigned projects from inception through project close-out.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of larger, more complex health system projects (ie. $20M+, multi-phased acute-care, ground-up, or technically-driven projects).
  • Directs and manages outsourced construction management firms, architectural firms, and general contractors.
  • Collaborates with department architects, resource accounting, and support staff from initial project inception through successful project completion.
  • Oversees construction projects assigned at the Main Medical Center and/or off-site, including scheduling and coordination of vendors.
  • Manages team assigned to departmental projects, including Project Management, Cost Control, Technical Advisory Staff.
  • Participates in entire project evaluation and development, making appropriate project recommendations.
  • Manages work of department staff on all new projects including Support Specialist, Project Coordinators, Planner/Designer, Interiors staff, Signage/Wayfinding, and Administrative Assistants.
  • Initiates and participates in productivity and quality improvements, including benchmarking with other facilities.
  • Prepares, reviews, and monitors budgets and all project dollar expenditure financial performance.
  • Oversees the construction process including scheduling of vendors, monitoring of progress, and providing progress reports.
  • Monitors project compliance with all Medical Center policies, OSHPD policies, OSHA requirements, federal/state/local regulations, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Serves as part of the design team and construction team, improving customer service.
  • Oversees the maintenance and updating of project data into a CSMC project management and as-built plan system.
  • Identifies risk areas and develops and implements mitigation plans.
  • Serves as point of escalation for resolution of complex construction-related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
  • Oversees change management process and manages large changes and disputes.
  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in the construction and renovation of health care facilities.
  • Proven track record to coordinate all phases of health facility construction.
  • Solid grasp with interpreting and applying knowledge of State, Federal and Agency standards.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles to create and oversee budget(s).
  • Demonstrate knowledge to provide feedback and input on developing, managing, and forecasting for construction budgets.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
