Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will independently perform advanced-level testing and inspection of construction materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. You will serve as a technical expert in the field, occasionally receiving guidance from a supervisor, and may oversee and mentor junior staff. This position offers the potential to grow into an Associate Project Manager or CMT Field Manager role, providing a clear path for career advancement. Responsibilities include traveling to various job sites, working in diverse terrain and weather conditions, and contributing to the success of complex construction projects.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in construction observation, inspection, and testing.
- ACI Grade 1 required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner and communicate safety expectations to junior staff.
Nice To Haves
- ACI Strength, ATTI Level 1, and/or Nuclear Gauge certifications preferred.
- Laboratory Certification (ACI/ATTI) is a plus.
