About The Position

KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Senior Construction Manager (CM) with strong Alternative Delivery experience and direct interface exposure within a Public-Private Partnership (P3) environment. This role will support the ITC Inglewood Transit Connector project beginning in a part-time capacity in March , transitioning to full-time in June , and continuing through project completion in 2028 . The Senior CM will act as a key liaison between the public owner, private concessionaire, design-builder, and stakeholders, ensuring construction delivery aligns with contractual, technical, and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 15+ years of construction management experience on large, complex infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience on Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, CMAR, Progressive DB).
  • Direct experience interfacing with or working within a P3 concessionaire structure .
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, commercial terms, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on transit, rail, people mover, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Southern California public agency processes.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, or DBIA certification.
  • Experience with project agreements, availability payment structures, and lifecycle requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance, construction progress, and field coordination.
  • Lead constructability reviews and phasing plans aligned with transit and municipal operations.
  • Review and validate schedules, cost reports, and progress payment applications.
  • Serve as the primary field interface between the Owner and P3 concessionaire/design-builder.
  • Support administration of the Project Agreement, including compliance, risk allocation, and performance requirements.
  • Coordinate technical reviews and approvals across public and private partners.
  • Assist in managing commercial matters, change events, and contract modifications.
  • Interface with city agencies, transit authorities, utilities, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Support community impact mitigation, traffic control coordination, and public communications.
  • Participate in executive briefings and governance reporting structures.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee QA/QC programs and inspection protocols.
  • Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and project updates.
  • Maintain documentation for claims avoidance, dispute resolution, and audit readiness.
  • Support project controls integration (cost, schedule, risk).
