About The Position

We are hosting a "Virtual Hiring Event" for immediate hiring for a Mission Critical Data Center project Go-Live in Temple, TX on Tuesday, March 10th! Suffolk’s Mission Critical team builds some of the most complex and fast-moving data center and mission-critical facilities in the country—and we’re continuing to grow. This is a Virtual Interview Day to meet experienced senior leadership construction professionals interested in joining Suffolk’s growing Mission Critical team in support of a large-scale data center project in Temple, Texas. We are hiring both local and traveling team members and building a strong pipeline of talent for upcoming project needs.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass Suffolk’s pre-employment background and drug screening
  • 15+ years of construction management experience
  • 5+ years in senior leadership overseeing large, complex projects or multiple projects
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial projects (Mission Critical, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or similarly complex sectors preferred)
  • 15+ years of construction field experience
  • Experience leading large, complex projects and multiple field teams
  • 5+ years in a Superintendent leadership role
  • 10–15+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience leading large-scale commercial construction projects
  • 10–15+ years of construction field experience
  • 5+ years as a Superintendent on complex commercial projects
  • Experience leading large teams and managing multiple subcontractors

Responsibilities

  • Project Executive Role Summary
  • The Project Executive provides overall leadership and strategic direction for assigned construction projects.
  • This senior role acts as a key liaison with owners and major stakeholders, oversees financial and operational performance, and ensures project delivery aligns with contractual, schedule, budget, and quality goals.
  • Lead overall project strategy, direction, and execution from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Negotiate Owner contracts and support project acquisition, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Project Managers on budget, billing, client expectations, and profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, subcontractors, and third-party partners.
  • Mentor and develop project staff; ensure resources are properly assigned and aligned with project scope and complexity.
  • Oversee financial performance including cash management, forecasting, and P&L.
  • Champion safety, quality, and compliance with Suffolk standards and contractual obligations.
  • General Superintendent Role Summary
  • The General Superintendent leads field operations and on-site execution for one or more major projects.
  • This role ensures construction activities align with schedule, quality, safety and company standards, while fostering strong client and team relationships.
  • Provide leadership for field construction execution and site operations.
  • Monitor projects for schedule conformance, quality benchmarks, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Engage with clients, architects, subcontractors, and authorities to enhance satisfaction and align expectations.
  • Coordinate field staff, recruit and develop team talent, and coach according to Suffolk’s guidelines.
  • Lead site safety, job-specific, and ongoing training activities.
  • Participate in owner and team meetings, provide continuous updates, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Senior Project Manager Role Summary
  • The Senior Project Manager is responsible for comprehensive project administration, including contracts, cost management, risk mitigation, and team leadership.
  • This role ensures project delivery meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Administer all aspects of the project including contracts, change orders, procurement, and compliance.
  • Lead budget forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Track performance, quality, and risks; implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Oversee change order processes and ensure timely, compliant documentation.
  • Establish close-out plans, compile contract close-out packages, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Lead project team meetings; manage project communication and stakeholder expectations.
  • Mentor and coach project staff in SOPs and best practices.
  • Senior Superintendent Role Summary
  • The Senior Superintendent provides direction and oversight of daily field activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution of construction work.
  • This role works closely with project leadership to maintain schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Direct field personnel according to construction plans and Suffolk principles.
  • Communicate site conditions, performance, and progress to the Project Manager.
  • Establish logistics, baseline schedules, and pre-mobilization plans with project leadership.
  • Lead planning sessions (e.g., Pull Planning, six-week look ahead).
  • Manage subcontractor performance, documentation, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend key meetings including safety pre-construction, schedule reviews, coordination sessions, and close-out.
