About The Position

Keville Enterprises Inc., an established Construction Management Consulting & Inspection firm, is seeking a full-time Senior Construction Inspector to join our team in Rocky Hill, CT. Requirements

• Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must.
• Candidates must have effective written and oral communication skills, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player.
• A minimum of four years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field is required, with two years in a field inspection capacity.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree may be substituted for two years of experience.
• A NICET Level 3 is required for this position.
• A current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's License or a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field is also acceptable.
• Candidates must be fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software.
• Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
• OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
• Daily on-site presence is required, with occasional evening or weekend work during critical project phases or to meet project deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Other certifications including NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI are a plus.

Responsibilities

• inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specification
• contract administration
• reporting daily progress
• tracking and documenting quantities of work performed
• resolving construction problems and challenges in the field
• other oversight responsibilities as assigned
