The Primary objective of the Senior Construction Design Engineer is to lead the Engineering Department to perform all engineering functions in accordance with the company procedures and applicable engineering standards, provide technical engineering input (as required) for estimating and bid proposal requirements, provide interpretations of all external codes, regulations, specifications, and the like, provide value engineering direction for company engineering activities, and to sign and seal engineering design packages.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering Department to perform all engineering functions in accordance with company procedures and applicable engineering standards.
  • Provide technical engineering input for estimating and bid proposal requirements.
  • Interpret all external codes, regulations, specifications, and the like.
  • Provide value engineering direction for company engineering activities.
  • Sign and seal engineering design packages.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of software such as AutoCAD, Plaxis, CivilTech, STAAD.Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction engineering and/or engineering design for projects of varying size, scope, and alternative delivery methods.
  • Experienced with pile template design, temporary shoring, support of excavation, formwork & falsework, barge stability calculations, pile hammer wave equations, and general marine engineering.
  • Possess Professional Engineering licenses in the region.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience - Structural or Geotechnical discipline preferred.

Nice-to-haves
