Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management (or related field).
  • 8 plus years of experience in the estimating field with a cost consultancy or contractor.
  • Expertise in all discipline scopes of work.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft 365.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of typical estimating software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • AACEI Certification or the ability to get certified within 1 year of employment.
  • US Citizenship (desirable).
  • Experience using OST, MCACES (MII), Success Estimator, CostX, Cost OS, Timberline, is preferred but not required.
  • Strong desire to learn or expand upon new methods and software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage cost estimates for large and complex projects at all design stages.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate cost management.
  • Interpret and work with architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating tools and software for detailed pricing and resource allocation.
  • Support value engineering, progress reviews, and project optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to all policies related to the handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
