About The Position

We are currently seeking a Senior Conflicts Analyst who possesses conflicts and legal research or litigation experience. This role is crucial as it involves working closely with firm attorneys and the Conflicts & Business Intake department to review, analyze, and resolve potential conflicts issues related to new partner lateral hires, as well as all other attorney, paralegal, and staff new hires. Additionally, the Senior Conflicts Analyst will assist in the daily processing of conflicts requests for new clients and new matters for the US LLP when required. The Senior Conflicts Analyst will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts concerning new lateral partner hires and other new lawyer and administrative hires, in accordance with the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct in various jurisdictions. This position requires effective communication with lateral candidates through the hiring manager to obtain complete and accurate client and related parties' information, which is essential for distinguishing between portable and non-portable business. The role also involves reviewing all new hire conflict reports and communicating with originating lawyers and the Firm's Ethics Partners regarding the initial analysis and recommendations for conflicts resolution. In this position, the Senior Conflicts Analyst will document decisions on potential conflicts by recording notes on written memoranda, including required conflicts waivers and/or disclosures. When necessary, guidance from the Ethics Partner will be sought to finalize decisions. The analyst will support the Business Intake Department in the online new client and new matter intake process, which includes processing conflicts requests and generating conflicts reports. Furthermore, the role requires providing input on departmental processes and the ability to assess situations and prioritize duties effectively. Other tasks may be delegated by the General Counsel or their designee concerning client engagement, conflicts of interest, and the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.
